A lifelong pet owner and animal lover, Tom created Your Paws out of frustration with the lack of impartial, scientific reviews of pet foods that were available online. Today he oversees the day-to-day running of the website.

Lisa Varrow
Writer & Reviewer
Lisa is our resident writer and reviewer. She's lived with dogs her whole life but over the years has also owned ragdoll cats, rabbits, and guinea pigs. Lisa's volunteered in animal shelters and shadowed the nurses at her local vet surgery.

Since graduating as a vet in 2016, Jo has looked for ways to help more clients than just the one in her consulting room. Today she does this with her writing and consulting. She lives in the Channel Islands and has a mixed-breed terrier called Pixie, who often ‘helps’ with her writing!

Becky has worked as a vet since graduating in 2011. Having worked with farm animals and horses in the past, Becky now works solely with pets. She particularly enjoys caring for elderly patients and those with long-term health conditions. She lives with her husband, their daughter and their two dogs.

Angela Beal is a veterinarian who loves using her writing to help pet owners take better care of their four-legged family members. Angela has a background in private practice and academia, and lives in Columbus, Ohio with her husband, two teenage sons, and their Chihuahua mix, Yogi.
